AUSTIN, TX - TXTA is proud to announce Marcia Faschingbauer as the recipient of the 2024 TXTA Leadership Award. Marcia is the President and CEO of Excargo Services Inc. and is being recognized for her outstanding contributions to the trucking industry and exemplary leadership skills. Her success serves as an inspiration to aspiring leaders in the industry, particularly women seeking to make their mark in a traditionally male-dominated field.

Her journey in the transportation industry began in 1979 when she identified a need for reliable export container transport in her family's food business. This insight led her to establish a company that quickly flourished, enabling her to acquire Excargo Services Inc. just four years later. Under her guidance, the company has grown into a leading transportation logistics company, providing expert intermodal, drayage, transloading and warehouse solutions for major importers and exporters in Texas and neighboring states.

"Marcia's story is one of personal triumph and a powerful call to action for industry inclusivity. Her commitment to integrity, service, and innovation continues to elevate our industry. We are honored to present her with the 2024 Leadership Award in recognition of her dedication and leadership," said TXTA President and CEO, John D. Esparza.

She is a former TXTA Chair and is currently serving on several boards, including the American Trucking Associations, Greater Houston Port Bureau, Southwest Movers Assocation and the University of Houston Supply Chain Advisory Board. Her active involvement in industry organizations has allowed her to share insights and strategies with peers that foster a sense of community and drives innovation in the sector. Throughout her career, Faschingbauer has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to safety, communication, sustainability and customer service. Her dedication to these principles has not only driven her company’s success but has also set a high standard for the entire trucking industry as a leader. Fashingbauer will be recognized at the Chairman’s Dinner at the TXTA Annual Conference in San Antonio on August 1.
