Mission Statement
The mission of this all-volunteer organization is to work with TXTA member companies to fund educational and community service programs and enhance the understanding of and image of the Texas trucking industry, with the ultimate goal of positioning trucking as the most vital and necessary industry in Texas.
About
TXTA Foundation was established in 1978 to fund education and research projects for the Texas trucking industry. This organization is a non-profit educational, public relations, research and community service organization governed by a Board of Trustees.
TXTA Foundation promotes the good works of the industry by advancing the positive image and highlighting the essentiality of the trucking industry. TXTA Foundation makes an annual contribution to the Trucking Moves America Forward campaign, presented by American Trucking Associations, and shares its appreciation for our heroes of the highway on social media, billboards, truck wraps and stories in The Steering Wheel magazine. TXTA Foundation trustees are champions for the trucking community—strengthening our message and educating the public at every turn.
Scholarships
Academic scholarships are available to high school seniors and full-time college and university students. Applicants must be an employee of a TXTA member or the dependent, child, spouse or grandchild of a TXTA member company in good standing.
In addition to academic scholarships, TXTA Foundation offers trade/technical school scholarships year-round to individuals looking to pursue their commercial driver license or who are interested in working in a trucking trade school profession. Trade school applications are reviewed as they are submitted.

Giving
TXTA Foundation hosts events throughout the year to raise funds for the scholarship program. The Main Event, held during TXTA’s annual conference, is a festive evening of dinner and auctions. In addition, there are other fundraising events such as golf tournaments and baseball games. Memorial funds, planned gifts, bequests, workplace contributions and gifts of stock are additional ways to help TXTA Foundation.
The foundation greatly appreciates all gifts of support. Every gift helps a student realize their academic and vocational dreams.
