TXTA’s Lawsuit Reform Initiative (LRI) is back! In the months leading up to the 87th Texas Legislative Session and throughout the session, TXTA raised funds through the LRI to support the marketing and strategic communication efforts of the Keep Texas Trucking Coalition (KTTC). While we achieved success through that coalition with the passage of HB 19, there are still key areas of tort reform we need to address. The abuses and unfair environment in our legal system must end.
Now TXTA has joined forces with Texans for Lawsuit Reform and the Texas Food and Fuel Association to form the Lone Star Economic Alliance (LSEA). This expanded coalition has replaced the Keep Texas Trucking Coalition and will advocate for all businesses, including those operating commercial motor vehicles, in Texas. Through the LRI, TXTA will support LSEA, build public support and combat lawsuit abuse.
Critical Funding Needed
Our goal is to raise $250,000 to support a robust grassroots and public relations campaign. Your donation will directly fund strategic communication efforts to educate lawmakers and the public about the importance of further tort reform. Donations can be made from corporate or personal accounts and 100% of the donations go to the LRI.
