TXTA Foundation announces 2022-2023 scholarship recipients

AUSTIN—Texas Trucking Association (TXTA) Foundation is pleased to announce the 2022-2023 scholarship recipients. This year, the Foundation awarded 37 scholarships totaling $200,000 to deserving students across the country—all affiliated with TXTA member companies.
 
“In 1991, TXTA Foundation began the scholarship program to give back to the families of trucking industry employees—the men and women who keep our country moving,” said TXTA Foundation Chairman Brandon Woods. “Since the establishment of the scholarship program, the Foundation has awarded more than $2.1 million in scholarships to students to help them achieve their education and vocational goals.” 
 
This year’s recipients are:
 
Joyce & Herbert E. Skinner Memorial Scholarship
Established in 2008 and awarded to the top overall recipient

Established in 2018 and awarded to the top freshman recipient as a four-year scholarship

TXTA Foundation was established in 1978 to fund education and research projects for the Texas trucking industry. The Foundation is a non-profit educational, public relations, research and community service organization governed by a Board of Trustees. The mission of this all-volunteer organization is to work with TXTA member companies to fund educational and community service programs to enhance the understanding of and image of the Texas trucking industry, with the goal of positioning trucking as the most vital and necessary industry in Texas.
